Daniel is the most recent Unanet Consultant hire into Redstone Government Consulting, Inc. Unanet Consulting Practice based out of our Huntsville, Alabama office. His areas of expertise include supporting government contract businesses with a focus in DCAA-compliant Unanet Time and Expense Tracking, Project Portfolio and Financials, QuickBooks, and Deltek GCS. Daniel is a Certified Unanet Systems Implementer and has completed Unanet Advanced Project Management training. Daniel is one of the first Unanet Certified Systems Implementers to complete the new Unanet University course offering to non-Unanet consultants. Daniel has invested over 300-hours of off and on-site course work, database development, and certification testing to obtain his certification. Since certification, Daniel has supported multiple Redstone GCI clients with system implementations, post-implementation and on-going accounting and project management support services.
In his role with Redstone Government Consulting, Inc., Daniel provides not only accounting and project management software systems expertise, but also assists clients with preparation and support of DCAA audit activities including SF1408 pre-award accounting system audits, development of forward pricing rates for proposals, incurred cost submission preparation, provisional billing rate submissions, development and documentation of policies and procedures necessary to support an adequate (DCAAapproved) accounting system. Daniel serves a point of contact for many small business clients in government cost accounting/compliance and assists with the period-end close of client accounting systems and reporting and analysis to program management and executives. His industry experience, software systems expertise, and compliance knowledge provide a tailored skill-set to clients looking for a consultant to become an integral part of their team.
Professional Experience
Prior to joining Redstone Government Consulting, Inc., Daniel worked in public accounting performing US GAAP financial statement audits and consulting engagements for companies within the Technology, Manufacturing & Distribution, Real-Estate, Not-For Profit, and Local Government & Utilities sectors; as well as experience working in large corporate sector. He has prior operational experience with the many types of software such as Unanet, Deltek GCS, QuickBooks, SAP, Deltek T&E, Cougar Mountain Denali, CCH ProSystem FX, and Thomson Reuters Engagement CS. Daniel also has prior operational experience with Tableau, Caseware IDEA and CCH Active Data, data analytics tools.
Education
Daniel earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Kennesaw State University in 2011.
