Client success stories are a huge part of our consulting efforts. Unfortunately, in many cases, due to the nature of the work we do, we can’t always congratulate our clients publicly on their successes. However, when the opportunity arises and we can offer good news about our clients, we appreciate the chance to publicly share those accomplishments, with their permission.

Our client, Main Sail, LLC is a veteran-owned small business certified in ISO 9001:2008 that helps its customers evaluate business needs, as well as develop and implement solutions in the areas of business process management, program and project management, enterprise resource planning, systems engineering and integration and staff augmentation. They provide these services to a variety of federal sector clients including the Department of Defense and related agencies (DLA, DFAS, NAVSEA, et. al) as well as many non-defense related agencies like the DOE, DOI, USDA and GSA.

During FY 2015, Main Sail elected to pursue an RFP opportunity with the U.S. Navy for process management and data support services for the Naval Supply Systems Command Business Systems Center. As part of this effort, they engaged Redstone GCI for support on the proposal cost volume. Redstone GCI staff members Courtney Edmonson and Charlie Hamm provided strategic pricing assistance and worked closely with the Main Sail team to ensure pricing aligned with the expectations of the RFP and adequately reflected the approach and strategies described within the proposal management and technical volumes. Together, we ultimately delivered a fully responsive proposal for submission to NAVSUP. As a result of our partnership, we are very proud to announce that on January 28th Main Sail, LLC was selected as one of eight companies to provide services under the $809m award of the NAVSUP BSC contract. Even more impressive is the fact that of the eight awardees, Main Sail is the only small business selected and will be joining very well-known companies, Leidos, IBM, Accenture, CACI, CGI, ECS Federal and Deloitte in delivering services under this contract. To say that the competition was steep for this award is an understatement. Their win is a testament to Main Sail’s commitment to their mission statement of providing their customers and employees with a consulting organization that they can count on as fair, dependable and efficient, and concentrated on achieving total team success.

We appreciate the opportunity to work with our clients in pursuit of key business opportunities. When competition is steep, quite often award decisions come down to responsive, reliable and well supported pricing, and all too often this area of emphasis does not get the attention it deserves in the proposal process. Main Sail’s CFO, Rodger Cahn, had this to say about our partnership approach, “Redstone GCI was an integral member of our NAVSUP proposal response team. Courtney, Charlie and the rest of their team were with us every step of the way, morning, noon, nights and weekends, and their knowledge, experience and professionalism contributed greatly to this significant win for our organization.”

About Redstone GCI

Redstone GCI is a consulting firm focused on fulfilling the needs of government contractors in all areas of compliance. With a singular mission to help contractors through the multiple layers of “red tape,” we allow contractors to focus on what they do best – support their mission with the U.S. Government. We are home to a group of consultants made up of GovCon industry professionals, CPAs, attorneys, and retired government audit and acquisition professionals.

Our focus and knowledge of audit and compliance functions administered by DCAA and DCMA will always be at the heart of what we do. However, for the past decade, we’ve strategically grown to support other areas of the government contractor back-office with that same level of focus and expertise. We’ve added expertise in contracts management, subcontract administration, proposal pricing, various software systems, HR and employment law, property administration, manufacturing, data analytics/reporting, Grant specialists, M&A, and many other areas. When we see a trend in the needs of contractors, we act to ensure we can provide the best expertise in the market to fulfill those needs.

One thing our clients can be certain of is that with the Redstone GCI Team in your corner, there is no problem too big and no issue too technical for our team to tackle.
