This free webinar is the first of two parts which will address compensation costs on US Government Contracts.   Part 1 will provide an overview of FAR 31.205-6 and drill-down into subsection 31.205-6(b), reasonableness. The faculty will explain the compensation reasonableness regulations and concepts in FAR 31.205-6(b)including the applicability in cost estimating/pricing as well as cost recovery on cost type contracts.   The Part 2 webinar will be on August 16, 2017 and it will focus on subsections which pose the greatest risk from the perspective of cost allowability (Click Here for Part 2).

At the completion of this one hour webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the FAR provisions which apply to contractor compensation
  • Identify the FAR criteria applicable to compensation reasonableness and differentiate from expressly unallowable components of compensation
  • Identify and obtain the ASBCA cases which focused on compensation reasonableness and benchmarking

During the webinar, your faculty will share their FAR expertise focused on compensation and their Human Resources expertise in assisting government contractors with compensation policies and benchmarking to document the cost reasonableness of employee compensation. Discussion topics will include:

  • FAR Part 15, in particular using benchmarking to support proposed labor
  • FAR Part 31.205-6 overview
  • FAR Part 31.205-6(b) “drill down”
  • Contractor compensation policies including benchmarking and documenting compensation reasonableness
  • ASBCA cases focused on FAR 31.205-6(b)
