Thank you for everyone who attended last week’s forum discussing government contractor impacts as a result of the ongoing changes to our working environments due to the pandemic.  We had excellent attendance and more importantly participation, which shows this is clearly an area of interest to our clients and friends.  If you weren’t able to make it to the webinar a recording is available here.

Building on last week’s session we have invited a few friends to join us this week, as we plan to focus on questions around the 7(a) Small Business lending programs brought about by the CARES Act.  Joining us on the panel will be Edward Spenceley who is a Sr. Vice President with Bank of America.  In Edward’s role he focuses on government contractor and veteran-owned businesses and brings a unique financial/banking perspective to the discussion.  We’ll also have Matthew Schoonover who is the Managing Partner at Koprince Law and a well-known author and speaker in the small business government contracting space. Jared Sharp, CPA from Warren Averett will also be joining us on the panel to provide perspective on taxation issues surrounding emerging regulation with small business lending.  We are truly thankful to Edward, Matt, and Jared for their generous contribution of time to talk with our clients in this area.

We’ll also have team members from Redstone Government Consulting, including experts from our government compliance, audit and HR practice areas on hand to answer any lingering questions related to REAs, ongoing government audit, and the FFCRA.

We will be bringing discussion topics based on current issues encountered by our clients and we ask that you submit questions/issues that you’re currently grappling with related to COVID-19 in advance of the session via the form on this page. No identifying information will be used if your question is chosen for discussion, but we would appreciate an email address so that we can reach out to you if we need clarification.

During this time, like our day-to-day routine, much is uncertain. At Redstone GCI we employ a “many heads are better than one” approach to solving our clients' needs. Discussion, reflection and time are all important factors in arriving at the right approach, and we do not expect to be able to definitively answer every question during these sessions. We do, however, believe that the input from our experts will be incredibly valuable to you and your Company as we all weather these uncertain times together.
